Tips for getting your house ready to sell!
• Cut the grass and think green! Water!
• Weed the lawn.
• Add some color, plant flowers around walk way or around the porch
• Check the foundation, steps, walkways, walls and patios for cracks and crumbling.
• Peeling paint? Paint it!
• Clean and align gutters.
• Clean chimney
• Repair and replace loose or damaged roof shingles.
• Repair and repaint loose siding and caulking. .
• Re-seal an asphalt driveway.
• Keep your garage door closed.
• Avoid the “Sanford and Son” look. Store junk cars or RV’s elsewhere if possible.
• A fresh coat of paint on the front door can never hurt
Inside:
• Clean every room inside and out
• Should the need arise, hire a cleaning service
• De clutter. This will make your home appear more spacious and allow buyers to
visualize their own items. If need be, have a yard sale!
• Paint. Should you think need to wash your walls, don’t! Paint! Think neutral colors.
• Checking for cracks, leaks and signs of dampness in the attic and basement.
• Repairing cracks, holes or damage to plaster, wallboard, wallpaper, paint, and
tiles.
• Inspecting and repairing the plumbing, heating, cooling, and alarm systems.
• Don’t be a drip. Take the time to repair the faucets.
• Love your kitchen! Sometimes it’s the little things that count so investing in new
cabinet knobs, drapes or fresh paint could be sure to woo a buyer’s heart.
