National Interest Rates
Should some buyers still be sitting on the fence and trying to determine whether they should buy real estate in Huntington or Charleston, West Virginia, then hop off! Interest rates are great! In accordance to http://www.interest.com/ , the current 30-year rate is 5.91%! The recent shake-up in the mortgage world was in my opinion, an inevitable event that was bound to happen. People were getting loans that should not have and now our economy is feeling the repercussions. I am a firm believer though that any machine, any business, the housing industry, needs a tune-up in order to keep productivity constant. So, no worries! It is a great time to buy and luckily the housing horror stories we hear on our favorite news station really don't apply to us in Charleston or Huntington. My advice would be to educate yourself on the process of buying. Lastly, shop around for the best interest rate and for a lender and Realtor that you feel you can depend on and has your BEST INTEREST in mind. 2008 IS GOING TO BE GRRRRRRRRREAT!
